White paper: “The pitfalls of brand identity”
I created this white paper a few years ago, as part of the E-GRAPHICS agency. This white paper is now completed according to the evolution of the last 15 years. Thanks to my my experience of more than 25 years of workthis white paper on brand identity looks at the most common means of communication used in the creation of a brand.
It also reviews the different ways in which a brand identity can be created that is consistent and can last for many years without having to redo it all.
Creating a brand identity is a complex project, especially as the complexity of the digital age continues to grow. The pitfalls are therefore even more numerous, given the current developments.
This white paper focuses on the main challenges that companies are facing today. Some concrete case studies then show best practices for overcoming problems in establishing a brand identity.
With this document of some 54 pages and numerous explanations, company directors, SME managers and marketing communication managers can learn to avoid these pitfalls.
For example, the white paper advises companies to make all employees aware of the need for a process. In this way, any misuse of content used in communication can be easily spotted and corrected.
A centralised system can help marketing communications managers and various in-house or freelance stakeholders ensure that the entire brand strategy remains consistent throughout the implementation in the field.
Why this #WhiteBook?
Far from being a user’s manual or a marketing consultancy servicethis white paper has the merit of giving some ideas that can be shared with both in-house employees and external partners.
The white paper also explains how new digital technologies allow for regular and inexpensive monitoring during the project and development of the brand identity. The paper also reviews the main difficulties that prevent companies from maintaining a brand identity.
The most common difficulties encountered in the field are the following:
- lack of training in relation to new digital technologies
- lack of process in relation to digital content management
- lack of a strategy to establish a brand identity
- insufficient financial means for quality marketing and communication projects
- lack of understanding of how marketing communication works
Not least, this document also provides some effective methods for creating and developing brand strategy. If these methods are followed correctly, then it allows for a good development of brand identity.
